Heroes of the Storm 2.0

Last week, Blizzard announced Heroes of the Storm 2.0! Don’t let the name fool you, it is still the same game… Kind of. Heroes of the Storm now is very different from Heroes of the Storm back in 2015, and Heroes of the Storm is just another step in the ladder of progression for Heroes of the Storm.

Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is changing the Player and Hero progress.  The level 20 cap for heroes is being removed, and will now be uncapped. The Player level is almost completely being removed and is now going to be based on the total level of all the Heroes the Player has. There are also some changes to cosmetic items, that will now be unlockable without “real money” with Loot Chests.

Announcers, loadouts, gems and coins, and other cosmetic items are being introduced as well. All-in-all it is a major change to progression and cosmetic, with little to no change to actual gameplay.

I am excited for this change, especially for the ability to get skins using in-game currency.

Find more information, including all of the changes at the official Heroes of the Storm 2.0 website.
